Diana Trout

I like art. Making it, writing about it and teaching it.

Artist, author and teacher, Diana Trout, lives just outside of Philadelphia with her husband and Teddy (the kitty). Mostly empty nesters, her two kids are in and out.

Diana studied painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. She has been teaching art journaling, book arts and painting nationally and locally since 1993. Trout exhibits mixed media paintings which combine her love of color, paper, drawing, stitch and story. She also teaches online.

“I am passionate about making art and passionate about encouraging other’s through my teaching and blog all that I’ve learned in my years as an artist and human endeavoring to live a life filled with wonder.

My purpose to to educate and pass on this wisdom and my storehouse of ideas and techniques to guide other along the path of strengthening their creativity and making art.

It seems that I’ve gained wisdom and insight into dealing with my critical left-brain. I pass this on to my students.”
