Happy Monday! I'm starting a new feature today called Make a Card Monday. Twice a month, we'll explore design via cardmaking. Arranging images and marrying them to type is a challenge for me and I've spent a bit of time over the past year working through it.
Today's cards feature the beautiful Altenew Scrapbook kit. I chose a paper that has objects on it, rather than a pattern so that I could experiment with cropping it to find little vignettes. Such fun! I do this cropping with sketches and artwork a lot to check on compositions.
I love the idea of sending cards to people too. It's mail art - just a different form. And this sentiment is one I'd like to send to every woman I know. Look at yourself in the mirror every morning and say - with feeling - "I am beautiful. I really am." Because the idea of beauty is something women are very confused about.
I hope you enjoy today's video and this new feature. I've listed another of my favorite papers from PinkFresh Studios that I use in this way. I haven't used the 12" square but made some very lovely cards with the 6" square. Here's the video and supply list below.
