Here's a neat little trick for you. I had grown very attached to this journal and it was full! What's a girl to do? I couldn't let go :)
Sharon, there is a video today (LOL!)
I trimmed a few pieces of my favorite paper, currently Canson XL Watercolor (here at Blick, here at Amazon, affiliate links, I get a commission). Measure your book paper height and width. Trim the paper to the paper height and 2x's the width of the book's paper. I left a tab on the edge of the paper for fun.
Now all you need to do is tie the folios in! Here's a video with some tips on that process. You can use any string, heavy thread (such as 4 ply linen, waxed or not), try using fabric strips or elastics. I recommend against using rubber bands because they just don't last very long.
You can really think outside of the box on this project: add black paper or cardstock. Try fusing fabric to paper. Oh! I'm getting more ideas just writing this post.
If you've read this far, I know you're a regular, so I'll share. I'm shattered by my aunt's death. I've been depressed and not "on my game." You probably understand this. We've all been through hard times. The only comfort is that at my nephew's wedding over Labor Day, we all toasted her, cherished her and told very nice stories. I can't remember what prompted that but it was fun and funny too. She went out knowing how much she was loved.
We've always treated her like a princess.
My heart falls so many times each day.
Here are affiliate links for the Stillman & Birn sketchbooks. They are really very high quality paper. Love 'em :) I get a commission from any sales. Use what you have.
