So many emails, blog links and comments about the Duct Tape Journal, I thought ... let's make a Flickr Group. OK? Yes! Some of the journals are elegant and some quite hilarious. See Sara's Journals. Here's the vid again. Three cheers for Duct Tape.

I can't wait to see what else gets posted! I ended up adding collage and doodling on mine - I've even been asked where I bought it!

I will be teaching my grandson to make these after Christmas, out of junk mail. They are so easy to do. Thank you for the reminder! I will post photos on the Flickr group when they are done.

I have one question, doesn't the rubber bands break after time? Does this worry you?

Looking forward to seeing those books, Caroline! Such a great project for boys, I think.

Hi Melissa, Yes, the rubber bands could break. You can just replace with new ones or use those hair elastics or yarn, string, ribbon if youd like. Thanks for a good question!

I didnt use duct tape on mine, I did tiny books with folded card for the covers filled with bits of old prints and tied with silk ribbon. They are so cute

that is another great idea. You should post them at the Flickr site. I love to see everyones takes on a simple basic idea!

Thanks so much Diana! I use fabric instead of duct tape, then I make a super-extra-very easy binding with thread. But the idea of (re)using any kind of papers and cardboard is the best thing!! This is FUN!!

What a great variation, Eli! You should post it over on the Duct Tape Journals set in Flickr! Thanks
