Composition and color. Trying to balance the muddy color with the pure color.
Color composiiton. I'm not worried about the details yet. But am thinking of working with this more abstractly. Yes. I'll try that.

Loving this!!!I started an improvisational quilt that began as ovals...took a different turn, but i'm feeling the curves lately for some reason. Smoooooth! :o)

Wow! I have been working with circles and darker backgrounds lately too.
I love that your circles are more organic, they give a much less austere feeling. Beautiful!

Thank you. Nothing says spring like organic shapes on a dark background ;)

Hi Diana,
Love your blog:-)I am fascinated with color. In the past I loved very bright colors but that is changing now. I still like clear colors and hate muddy ones. Someone in the "know" told me that to really show up bright colors you need a little cack ( muddy Colors) LOL
Keep up the great work:-)
All the best Di

Thank you!
Hmm, I'll have to ponder that, I do like bright colors as well, I am trying to work some with colors from the warm side of things. Seems I am always using blues and purples :)
Thanks for the tip!
xoxo

This effect you've created with the dark colours juxtaposed with the vibrant colours is really striking. I have a thing for 'dots' and I really like these organic forms. Thank you for sharing these. Your work reminds me to 'loosen up' a bit.
