I am a sucker for inspiration. OOOOOO! Isn't that cool, beautiful, clever, magical?! OOOO! I wanna do THAT!
But wait a minute ... what about all of the ideas that I already have? Chopped liver? REALLY?
I sat down the other day with my journal, a pen and a pile of index-worthy scraps. I found loads of ideas right there and didn't need my computer or a book.
The de-stash is going well. I've winnowed my fabrics down to about a third of what I had. Ruthless, I am. The rubber stamps that have been taking up a ton of space are outta here. I am down to my handcarved, a couple of sets of alphabets and a few miscellaneous. Just what I use for art journaling and classes.
If you are in the Philadelphia area, come to the de-stash giveaway event, Sept 22. Let me know if you are interested. I will send you the info. Nothing for sale, bring what you want to give to someone else and we'll all get this stuff to anyone who wants or needs it. Not me, though :)
Doing more with less.
It must be the season for organizational inspiration. I spent last night paging through binders of referrences and tutorials and made up a table of contents so I knew what I had in them. It was hard not to stop and read so many things caught my attention.

Just the edges and little peeks are inspiration here! I'm grateful I'm not in the Philly area or I would be tempted to come "shop" at your giveaway event. ;) I need to do some destashing myself. Good luck!!!

Spring fever! Now that IS inspirational. Spring is here but doesn't officially start until Saturday and I'm itching to have a good clear out too. Fabric down to a third? I am impressed!!! Well done! ;-)

It is a great way to recycle. Check out local high schools and art programs too. I frequently donate to those places

It is going very quickly for me, Sarah. I have been very decisive and ruthless.

Ooo! That must have been fun, Mary! And what a great idea.

Thanks for popping by, Patricia! Now the last thing you need is to have to cart a bunch of stuff back to the west coast. Are you just visiting in these parts or working?

Hi Diana,
Are the books in the photos your "idea/inspiration" books? They look so yummy! I don't have anything like that. Could you explain what you do? (Or better yet, teach a class on it?! haha...)
Thanks!
Kathy

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I would love to know more! The ideas I see come and go so quickly through my brain (and these days not a whole lot gets retained)! haha.... Also, I'm enjoying your class on 21 Secrets!

Im so glad to hear that you are enjoying 21 Secrets! Thanks for mentioning it, Kathy. Ive written a note to self to write more about the inspiration topic.

Okay, so I've been obsessing about your Inspiration book since my last post! haha..... Just finished using old book covers and binding in 6 signatures. So I now have a small book similar to the size of yours in the photo.
I don't want to be pushy (I guess I am being pushy anyway! haha.....), but I want to start filling my book. Could you just give me an idea of what tabs you used, and what your process is to put ideas in your book?
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are so right about finding great ideas right there in your notebook, diana.
I re-read several pages of notes and a spark for a new project was right thete in front of me.
Really cute organizer pennants, tho.
