A painting done more than 10 years ago is being featured today on Seth Apter's TheAlteredPage with his most recent edition of Playing Favorites. A big thanks to Seth for including me and so many other artists in his blog.
This work has been named and renamed so many times. Is it mother earth dreaming? Will she awaken? Dreaming is a triptych and here are close ups of each piece. Maybe you could help me by naming this piece. What does it say to you?
this is one gorgeous painting diana! love the colors, the texture, the image!!! make more!

Dreaming is the perfect name for the painting. Though to me she is Mother Earth and absolutely beautiful!

Gorgeous! I would name it Sleep of the Holly. I see an aura around her head. And the technique reminds me of antique Christian Orthodox paintings.

Beautiful! I would name it: "Visions of Beauty Dancing in her Head!
Diana, this is really gorgeous and so full of meaning.

Dreaming, yes. Resting peacefully after a glorious day, drawing strength fromm the Earth . . . no fears for the next day . . . confident, serene.

Thanks for all of the opportunities you offer to this community, Seth. I appreciate it. And pretty cool news, one of the paintings that I submitted for the Pulse was just published in the Philadelphia literay magazine!
