Let me introduce Karen Hunter-McLaughlin. Karen is one of my beloved MamaCITA's and she is guest blogging for me today. You see Karen's web-mastery each time you visit my blog. She's the one who wrangled up this site for me, cleaned me up and keeps me straightened out.
Here's what she has to say
I have always loved bold, beautiful, saturated color. Maybe it stems from my love of flowers. I remember when I was young and my father grew a single red poppy plant. We never failed to be totally amazed by the rich deep red set against its deepest blueblack center.
To this day flowers are a subject matter to which I always return. And I now also have a single red poppy plant. Happy Spring everyone!
Karen is working on a new series of embellished relief prints the will include her favorite flower subjects as well as some newer work inspired by childhood memories.
When she's not making art, Karen can be found geeking out at her computer developing websites for other like-minded creatives.

I adore Milky Way because I feel like I am going to be sucked right up into that tangled beauty. Which is YOUR favorite?
I like New Queen the best :) not that I don't like the others!

Milky Way is my favourite. Love that type of flower and it's such an unusual way of depicting it, from 'behind' as it were. All are gorgeous, thanks for the introduction to Karen's work

I like the Milky Way best too.

Gee, that is like asking me which chocolate is my favorite - depends on the day. :) I love Karen's art. I have had dirt under my nails since I was 2 or so, planting sweet peas with Gram. Poppies have a special place in my heart and like Karen, I too have a red one. Each year I look at them in awe for their construction and beauty. That said, I also like the design of Milky Way and NewQueen. Karen's backgrounds are so interesting and have such beauty in and of their own. So, I will say Poppy, just because no one else has yet. :) (Wishing you both a wonderful weekend.)

Hi Karen and Diana!
"Milky Way" is my favorite, as well... it just seems so ethereal, and it really pops and is quite unlike anything I've ever seen. Wonderful piece!
