Gratitude is a simple thing. Humble. The act brings us down to the most basic element of humanity. If we can be thankful, everything else seems to take care of itself. If we are grateful, we have shifted the focus from self-centered to global.
I forget to be thanksful, we all do.
I wonder, if we all remembered to be grateful more often, could we find ways to make our worlds and our world better and then have more to be thankful for? Do you think it works that way?
I am so grateful to you. Each time you look at my blog, make a comment, say "hello," I am gratified. Thank you.
Love you all, Diana
So well put Diana . . . and yes if we were all grateful more often, maybe we would be more content with what we have . . . and then envy and greed would have no place to settle.
I love you watercolour and pen . . . why did I think the watercolour came first?
Thank you.

Thank you, Diana, for you wonderful posting today. I agree...we need a lot more gratefulness in this world. I am grateful for artists like you who share their talent and skills so selflessly.

Yes! Focusing on the positive really turns your mind around. When you harp on what is going well, more goes well. Or the converse, harp on what is going poorly, more goes poorly. It is a subtle but dynamic shift. I am thankful for people who practice gratitude on a daily basis. When I get good service somewhere I thank the people who provided it. You would be surprised how rarely people say that they are thanked.
Aloha, Kate

Thank you for the reminder. Gratitude - Not just at Thanksgiving but every day. We all need to slow our lives down and be grateful in the small moments...

Thanks and gratitude go hand in hand. It is always good to be reminded to practice both.
