Ho Ho Ho. It's that crazy kooky time of year. There are fewer gifts under our tree these days; we've cut way back on the commercial part of Christmas. That leaves me time to do some fun packaging. So let's make some tags (video below).
I love these little tags. The tree shapes are easy to make and there are random leftover pieces of washi tape from the sheet so odd triangles pop up and make things more interesting.
To make the sheet of washi tape:
Cut a piece of deli paper, freezer wrap or waxed paper to about 5" square (or so)
Lay a strip of washi tape along the top and then continue laying strips of tape down, overlapping the previous piece of tape slightly.
I used a bit of tinsel-ly stuff to brighten things up. I think that baker's twine would be pretty cute or raffia or ribbon.
There are an endless number of shapes you could make with these sheets of washi for any occassion. I don't even TRY to get the shapes off of the deli paper. Just glue them down.
