Getting ready for the Plein Air Festival on Sunday in Chestnut Hill, I poked around and took some photos then made up a palette ...

I've made some preliminary sketches of a church and old one-room schoolhouse.

Ahem ... I'll be putting my own spin on this

I'm looking forward to this challenge. The heat is breaking so it will be a nice comfy day. I hope you'll come by to visit! I'm in front of the Jenks School in the block down the hill and across the street from The Iron Hill Brewery (make a reservation: great food and brew).

Next week, I'll update you on what's coming up here on the blog in the next months.

Even your palette sample is a pretty little watercolor! Have a great time - wish I lived closer so I could come by - Georgia's a little far away to drop in for a visit :)

Georgia. Oooo! I’ll bet it’s hot down there Mary. We hit 90 yesterday. I had a great time playing with paint all day! I’ll show the (unfinished) painting later
