Long story, short video. I started this page back in the gray of February. I was punching beautiful circles of colored paper scraps recently and the two fell together. I love the bright pop of color against that gloomy weather background.
Maybe you'd like to use triangles or squares? Maybe I'll put a little joy on each circle. I'm not above a complaint or two.
The glue pen and foil thing is real easy. Just draw with the pen and let it dry. It stays tacky. Press the foil on top and rub gently. The foil will stick pretty easily. I'll demo that more fully in another video.
I used Versamark ink and embossing powder on the stamped phrase. Then circled it with a Emboss it markers and more powder. I realize that there isn't a lot of techniques in this video. But I'll cover some shiny stuff next week. How's that?
Your blog is the first one I check at the end of the day. You are so amazing! It's obvious that you are a real-deal artist, but you aren't all show-offy with your presentations. I just adore the stuff you make. I wanted you to know you are so loved! Would you ever consider doing a journal flip thru? You tease us when you are working on your journals, letting us have a peak here and there. A proper journal-flip would make me the happiest girl in the Universe! I don't have a blog or even a facebook page. I am too busy journaling and making mail art when I am not working 80 hours a week to pay for my art supply addiction! Keep making this amazing stuff. You are an inspiration to a ton of us!

Well, tickle me silly! I CAN'T WAIT! I am so honored that you replied! You love colors like I do. Like when two H2O colors merge to make a new color, the puddle of color elates me. The whole rest of the page can be crud, with no rhythm, dull and begging for a thick layer of gesso, but that little puddle of magic makes it all ok. I don't think many people GET this phenomenon! I like your sense of sharp contrast and the way you block patterns next to each other. I'm not an artist so I am sure I'm not using the right terminology. I should take a day off some time and drive down to one of your classes. I am way up here in Waterville, Maine, aka Goosepecker Ridge, right next to East Bumfu*k. LOL!

I know exactly what you mean about a puddle of watercolor blending. It’s like a perfect poem or a hymn or something magical. East BumFu#k. lol! Way past where Jesus lost his sandals is what my daughter said when she lived in Missouri. I’d like a little bit of that sometime.
I am making a list of videos and your request is on there. I think you must be an artist if you see the way you do.
