Drum roll please. It a pleasure to introduce you to Artist Stacy Rollins.
Stacy recent sent me a couple of simply astonishing mail art envelopes brimming with "stuff" to journal with. I'll let you enjoy while you read a little bit about Stacy.
My name is Stacy Rollins. From Waterville, Maine.
I'm a single mom and work, typing, at home My hands are always stained with ink and sticky from gel medium. My work breaks are consumed with crafting every day. I wouldn’t consider myself an artist, more like a creative crafter.
Visual journaling and mail art are my passions. It melts my heart to watch a puddle of purple and a puddle of yellow meet (dare you to say that 3 times fast). I gravitate towards odd images. I like to use found text to label a page or a fragmented sentence that holds a personal meaning for me and otherwise a mystery for anyone else looking at it.
I enjoy block form art with patterns and colors that have no business being next to each other but once they are glued down they create magic. My stuff is asymmetric and sloppy. I guess if I wanted to look at a greeting card image, I’d go buy a card. I also enjoy found poetry with strips of random text over a bright background.
My favorite medias are Inktense blocks (I use them as wet media), collage, gesso, spray inks, fluid acrylic and watercolor. Since I couldn’t draw to save my life, my stencils are VERY broken-in.
Nothing spectacular or outstanding to be said about me.
Just a fellow lover of art. So grateful it found me. Because of art I am fortunate enough to say I truly cannot remember the last time I was bored. Boredom seems to be a demon in a lot of peoples’ lives. Not me! Thank goodness what I need fits right in my purse.
Ahem. Nothing spectacular or outstanding? I am completely blown away by Stacy's artwork, the colors, patterns and her unique use of imagery. I'm thrilled to share her artwork with you today.
AWE. Utter AWE. I love this playful, irreverent, weird, wacky, style! And this is some of the best I've seen! Please tell me she has a blog, etsy, something? Thank you so much for showing her off to us.

Stacy's artwork is fun to look at. Do you know what kind of tape she used for her washi?

Right?! She’s awesome. Stacy doesn’t have a blog and isn’t very much into the tech stuff.

It looks like she used the Avery full sheet labels. Fabulous work!

Pretty rich and wild artwork! I love it. Stacy doesn’t have any online presence so I’ll just have to beg her to keep sending me mailart, right Stacy?

Her work is very unique and fun. You can see the joy in it. I’ll do some research into organizing a mail art exchange. That could be fun.

You all are so kind with your compliments! You have no idea how much they mean to me! Honestly, Diana's workmanship with her camera makes it look better than real life. LOL. I'd love to send everyone some mail art. I always have a bunch of "work in progress" envies going, as well as art journals and looking for a reason to send mail art out into the universe. I even send my rent check out in mail art every month. They think I am a lunatic! LOL. Maybe that's why I'm allowed to have cats (plural) and everyone else in the building pays through their teeth for pet deposits. They figure I am already crazy....may as well be a crazy cat lady, right?
I am considering getting a laptop and setting up a blog. I LOVE blog hopping. Diana's is the best, for real. I have found it to be my number one biggest inspiration. It has been my fav for a long time. Only recently did I discover I could comment without being a blogger myself.
