There is rollicking good times to be had with the simplest of materials sometimes. Craft foam, widely available at craft stores in the kid's department makes easy stamps. Scissors and glue are all that's needed for an evening's fun.
Texture is super easy to achieve with items found around your home or studio. This humble craft technique has been a favorite of mine for some years now. (I'll link my very first YouTube video below and you can watch for yourself.*)
If you have a die cut machine, more possibilities are open. This is a great project for girl's night, a family project, craft night or just sitting around on a winter afternoon. Enjoy!

Pretty cool! Think I will go look for some supplies in my craft area and see what I can find to try this!

I wondered about Simeon Says suddenly releasing a full line of stamp pads colors. They carry everything Hero Arts makes so that's a no brainer. Heating the fun foam is brilliant! Getting the shapes is one thing but adding some good texture is a big deal. Great vid!

I got all excited about this video. Living many thousands of miles away the previous stamp video had all kinds of stuff we can't get here. I felt despondent and switched off. So this thin craft foam we can get and I can already feel myself getting stuck in and making a huge happy mess, which is what I love really. So thanks for making a video for those of us who don't have all the gizmos! All strength to you!

I think that all of these stamp pads: SSS, HA and I think there is another, all just have slightly different colors to go with their papers. Oh! So much fun to make foam stamps. Enjoy.

I enjoyed this video! I never thought of texturizing the foam itself! That's so neat! And your last flower is my favorite.

Thanks, Chrissy. Texture away. There are so many things around the house and office you could use. Hmmm… paper clips ;)

Use what you have. Don’t forget the styro trays that fruits and veg come in.

Yes, I agree about the fumes. I think that is not a great thing. People would say “an open window.” It’s pollution though.
