To my dear and loyal "Gang." My live stream went yesterday (once again) not as expected. OemGEEEEEEE! OK. Next time my son-in-law, the Software Developer and LS Expert will be at my side. I'm scheduling that for May 13, EST. It will be smooth. I have sworn off cursing this year (I worked on pun) but did some yesterday. It did finally work out and the video is below.
A wonderful thing about alcohol inks/markers on Yupo is just how painterly it looks. You can work positively by putting marks down and negatively by erasing with a blender pen or lighter color.
You can easily get beautiful ruffly "found" edges. Just like in watercolor! It's easy to get lost building up textures.
The purple over the yellow flower is a regular dye marker. My Art Is You class in CT this October, Exploring Yupo, includes experimenting with different surfaces and media.

Gorgeous!I do love the painterly look too. I haven't used alcohol markers on Yupo yet. I'll have to give it a go. Right now Yupo is my favorite substrate. Thanks for the inspiration.

I love those flowers Diana! I bought my first alcohol inks a few weeks ago and I just played with them once, then I looked on youtube to see other uses for them and I stumbled upon straw blowing to blend the colors and move them around. It looks so relaxing!

Great idea to blow alcohol inks! I haven’t tried that. They won’t move enough on regular paper though so I’d try Yupo or plastic. Let me know how it goes. I wonder if the shiny side of freezer paper would work ?
