Three cheers to paint all the paper! I taught this class again a couple of weekends ago in the studio. It's a spin-off of my Playful Papers dvd and I have taught many variations. You can see pictures from the class here.
The process is pretty straight forward. Take paints and inks and spritz, drop, paint, spread around, drip, print, stencil. It's just good fun really. Everything winds up looking fab. Watch your color families. Stay in analogous (neighborhood) color: red, orange, yellow or blues and greens. You don't really want mud here.
The papers are great for collage, journaling, cards, mixed media canvases or any paper projects. I've made flower collages from them and used them for paper cloth. Or a tag book: good stuff.
Enjoy the video. And check out that neat little extra technique I discovered. Spray the water through a stencil, lift the stencil and then spray the in. Very cool look. Supply list is below along with links to the other two blog posts on this topic - my inky holiday hauls :)

Diana,
I really like those inks and sprays.......don't have any though. I do have other things....like loads of stencils, watercolors, some gold and silver liquid whatever it is called so I guess I could try something. I have never seen coffee filters like that........maybe when my SS check comes next month, I might be able to look online and investigate some. You know how it is.....I want, I want......LOL
Not sure how I got to see about your book JOURNAL SPILLING but somehow the Lord guided me to a place through Barnes & Noble where I found it at an unbelievable price and I could not pass it up so it has been ordered. Cannot wait to get it. Until I feel well enough to just CREATE, I can look through your book while I am awaiting your next video.......LOL And by the way, I believe I am much older than you...........will be 70 in September....don't tell anyone.....haha!
Another question........that big brush...you said it was Bamboo?? What is the size and are they expensive? (See.........it is always I want, I want!!!)

Do a lot with a little, Sharon. The Big Bamboo Brush - they are surprisingly cheap. They have no “spring” like western brushes. Once you bend them, they are bent until you dip into water again so it takes a bit of practice to work with them. Available at art, craft and online - Blick has them. And I will be 61 in April so, not so much older. Same generation.
