I've affectionately labeled this journal "The Dina" and it's an interesting book. I love the textural elements: the burlap, the canvas, the threads sticking out are such fun. I'm used to a watercolor paper based journal and this one is definitely Mixed Media.
This is one of the craft paper pages. I really do like them loads. I threw everything at this page, then calmed things down with a layer of printed tissue paper. You can see the layers here ....
I wanted to leave some of the craft paper but it didn't turn out that way. Next time.
I used some of Tim Holtz's Idea-ology doodads and other things that have been hanging out in the studio for ages. It was a free for all. And that is fun, right? Let me know if you have Dina's journal and if so, what are you doing with it? I'm going to do a flip through if enough of you are interested.
And BIG news here: I passed 6,000 subscribers. Thank YOU for your help. I've set up a PayPal donation page as well.
