(Just a little colored pencil shading on one of the stamps.)
Hey gang! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. We had Open Studio and there was a lot of art, laughter and love going around. Super fun and we all wind up learning. I love my Peeps :) On Sunday I went to my friend Melissa's opening. Her work is Gorgeous. Lush. Patterned.
I did some catch up journal in my little book yesterday. Guinea Hen with a little note to self: "Take care of yourself."
Lightbulbs! I didn't know where this was going. I embossed with gold powder than used my colored pencils to shade a little. That's what most of today's video is. Just a little bit about colored pencil shading.
My book is getting stuffed! By the time I'm done, it won't close at all.
It will always be open, like an invitation.
I purchased Tim Holtz Tag Press a few months ago. It's really fun. Just a little extra sumpin'. I'm putting a lot of interactive stuff into this journal. I love when things pop out, peek out, lift. I should do a pop up page!
Watch today's video on YouTube here (Share, Like, Comment, Subscribe). YouTube is getting to be more of a challenge with small art channels so we all need your input. You get better ranking with more action on every video. So if you watch, vote "Yay!" with your actions.
It's been lovely journaling again.

I would love to make myself a little journal like yours, have you done a tutorial Diane? Or where would I look for one, another lovely little journal page . You make me smile with your humor, โ the blue was not funny last week but it is today โ๐๐

I have heard about using the white pencil under your colors, but I guess I forgot about it........LOL Thanks for reminding me. I use an electric sharpener MOST of the time too but sometimes I use a prismacolor sharpener also. I like the point I get with the electric one better. I could sure use more help with working with colored pencils because I never seem to get my blends or shading right.
