LOL: All three of my Oranges. I'm not the biggest fan of orange but this practice opened my eyes a little wider.
These three colors were all either hand-me-downs or sent to me (QoR) and I never got around to swatching. The New Gamboge, one of my favorite warm yellows is the only thing close to orange on my palette!
After swatching, I couldn't resist a little mixing. The DS Quin Rose (PV 19) and Pyrrole Orange (PO 62) make a beautiful coral color. I have a coral in my cart at DickBlick. I may skip it (or save for later) with this beautiful coral color at my disposal! We'll see what kind of self control I have.
This is a beautiful brown. Totally unexpected. Now that I know about the Iron Oxide in some of these paints it makes sense though. To me.
Above is the color I went nuts over. It's more towards the red than the Azo Orange below. Do you see the yellow in that Azo?
Need I say more? LOL. I'm beginning to make decisions on what kind of palette(s) I'll be using as well and I talk a little about that in my video.

Dick Blick
PO62 Azo Orange, M Graham
PR 101 & PY42 Transparent Orange Oxide M Graham
PO71 Transparent Pyrrole Orange
Porcelain Dishes for mixing from Amazon. This is 3 stacks of 5 porcelain dishes. I'll definitely be using these as mixing palettes. Very highly recommend.
Whenever I watercolor flowers on my cards, I always seem to use some orange somewhere. Very interesting that the one orange looks brown!
I see you have a brace on.........problems with your wrist or is it for carpal tunnel syndrome? I know about that because I have it, along with whatever else I have going on. Back to more tests....just had more blood work and have a CT scan on Monday. Will this ever end?
